Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council

Dear Families,
Thank you for entrusting us with your students this school year and for your support and patience. It has been a wonderful start to the year even with the COVID precautions we have had to implement.

2021/22 Attendance Guidelines and Policy

This year, we anticipate fewer quarantines, due to the population-based approach and masking. Students who are absent will follow the attendance policy, making up work when they return unless the teacher plans otherwise. (This applies even if the student is in isolation or a quarantined determined by San Juan Basin Public Health) . We will not conduct live teaching or Zooming into classrooms during absences as was done during quarantines in the 20-21 school year.

9-R End of Year Assessment Data and Reflection

We are committed to sharing our student achievement data with transparency. We recognize the incredible effort put forth by our staff this year and are grateful for their perseverance and flexibility. Yet, our end-of-year assessment data tells us that our students need intentional and unified support to ensure that the impacts of the pandemic are not long-lasting and far-reaching in our students' literacy and math skills. We are working with great urgency to turn around our historical trend of under-serving portions of our community and to minimize the impact of disrupted learning COVID-19 has had on all of our learners.
