November, 2019 News from Mr. Geygan

Among other support, this funding will help Riverview add a new play structure directly east of the Kindergarten Wing. Additionally, we will be able to continue to transition to more developmentally appropriate furniture, such as adding wiggle stools and mobile desks. Of course, classroom specific grants are funded from this and have a big impact on every student’s learning experience. We will share more specifics on how we will use Fun Run fund at our next PTO meeting on Wednesday, Nov 13 @ 6:30p.

Preceding the PTO meeting on November 13, at 5:45p our PTO will host Riverview’s fall Community Meeting. The topic for this meeting is Restorative Practices. Restorative Practices are being implemented at Riverview to further develop a safe and equitable learning community. This is an opportunity to hear more and ask questions about classroom community circles and shifts in how we are responding to unexpected student choices at  Riverview. Please be aware that free child care is available along with food for your kids. We hope to see you there.
