We certainly will miss those older students, some of whom have been with us for 7 years! To those parents leaving us as well, it has been a pleasure spending time with your children, and thanks for your years of support. Many of you have become part of our daily routine as well, and you will be missed.
To wrap up the school year, we have posted the Riverview results of the District Parent Survey. Please take a few minutes to review the results and our reflections of the results. You will find additional performance data, as well, at our website.
As is typical at the end of a school year, a few staff members are heading off into retirements. Kathy Tottis, Special Education teacher; Brad Finch, Special Education Teacher, and Karen Finch, counselor are all on to the next stage of their lives. In their stead, Stephanie Hoar (Local and returning Riverview teacher) and Amber Main (coming from Mesa, AZ) will be filling the positions in special education. We are currently in the process of finding a person to carry on Karen’s work…no easy task I will say.
And a final thought, if there is one routine you maintain from the school year into the summer, please keep the students reading, keep yourself reading, and keep reading together.
