March will seem like a short month with only 3 weeks of school and then spring break! Most of March will consist of our Gymnastics unit. I teach a lot of different ways to move the body and different ways to balance. I also teach nutrition during the gymnastics unit. You can help your student at home by asking them about the 5 different foot groups (Protein, Dairy, Fruits, Vegetables, and Grains). We will play some My Plate games where students need to create a healthy plate with all the food groups and we will talk about food proportions. Towards the end of the month the K-2 students will start working on long jump roping in groups. The 3-5 students will start the hockey unit.
